Having a healthy well established sleep pattern feels great, am I right? What’s the best part of a successful REM sleep? Dreams, of course! Indeed I am a fan as everyone should be. I mean, who doesn’t like dreaming? Nightmares are one thing, but an intoxicating, saturating mind adventure will leave you feeling like a million bucks. Do you notice the difference a good dream has on your well being? I do. I absolutely find it necessary to function sometimes. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to self induce a dream while awake? People actually partake in this activity all over the world with the help of the “spirit molecule”.
The link between dreams and dimethyltryptamine is something that has grown in popularity over the years and everyone seems to be talking about it these days. If you’re not familiar with dimethyltryptamine check out this link to wikipedia. Today, I would like to share my experience with DMT.
Please comment below if you have an idea or story to share. Everybody’s opinion matters here and everyone’s input is greatly appreciated!
I will never forget the first time I smoked dimethyltryptamine. The story begins one afternoon when my buddy John hit me up with an interesting offer. He wanted to know if Zach, another buddy, and I, wanted to try some DMT later that evening. Obviously we said yes. So down along the canal park beach the three of us found ourselves, a decent area to relax, safe from interruption.
To the left sat Zach with a smirk on his face, in front John knelt with pipe in hand ready to guide the both of us along our journey. After the first toke my body immediately felt as though I was on a heavy dose of psychedelic mushrooms, I almost wanted to just stay where I was with the trip, but that’s never an option. 🙂 The second rip brought the tunnel vision. Imagine a psychedelic path overtaking your site, flowing through you like a river carrying an even greater sense of peace within its waves. Now, the third hit…that hit I can’t really remember. I do know that John had to hold the pipe for me due to my lack of awareness and general detachment to reality.
Unconsciousness followed the fourth hit, I literally fell onto the cool sand as if I had fallen asleep. The psychedelic tunnel slowly became my reality, flying through a magical kaleidoscope surrounded by pure light. This amazing flight seemed to go on forever, but things eventually calmed down and I found myself looking into the eyes of a colorful smiling face made up of tiny moving fractals. The fractals which made up this being’s face appeared to go on forever, in both directions all at the same time. You know what i’m saying? Watch this video if you’re confused. This being wanted me to pay attention, I felt like there was something to learn from this interesting point of view. Beautiful it was, to say the least, a joyful grin which had no end or beginning.
Suddenly the tranquility shifted, and I woke up to the sound of Zach crying out in pain. Apparently this whole time we were chilling on top of a shit load of huge furry sand spiders. Sadly, abruptly awoken from his “ocean” trip, he suffered a mean bite on his hand.
The experience you live after waking up from this dream world brings along possibly the most cool show you could ever witness. Rainbows of color crept around every corner, kinda seems like somebody’s painting the air around you. A vast array of deep hallucinations will happen, along with a feeling of pure joy and wonder while shimmering diamonds bounce around your body like little dots of energy. These diamonds felt like they held a consciousness of their own!
An amazing trip indeed, roughly lasting for about 45 minutes after waking up, although I’ve heard many different experiences from people over the years. Keep in mind that although the initial “dream state” only lasts for a few minutes, it has the power to change your perspective on consciousness forever if done properly. Ayahuasca and dimethyltryptamine must always be treated with much respect, these things are sacred, and if you find yourself purchasing them something’s wrong. Anyone who sells this stuff for profit should be ashamed of themselves, but I digress.
Shortly after my otherworldly adventure I began having vivid dreams almost every time a slept. Now and then while dreaming I would find myself sitting with a group of people I’ve never met, and somebody would hand me a little glass pipe. You can actually have a psychedelic trip while asleep just like the real thing. A dream within a dream. With that in mind one could assume that a real trip is possible without the actual act of smoking it. This experience exists naturally within all of us!
I’ve heard that when someone passes away, DMT is heavily released to help guide the soul into the afterlife. Notice how people mention seeing a tunnel of light while on their deathbed? I think maybe I’ve been down this tunnel before. Perhaps a connection does exist here that many people are blissfully unaware of, completely ignorant of the magic within themselves. Thoughts?
“The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?”
